using the body to reach the soul

I was a competitive athlete for over half of my life. I was a champion athlete and loved training. My life took me down a different road, however, after college and training was not possible. I could not handle everything going on in my life and also prioritize athletic training.
Since I was about 17, I have wanted to live the lifestyle of a serious athlete. I have the soul of an athlete and it does not ever extinguish, even when I could not move from illness over the years. I never lost the fire and desire for athletic training. Which is why, I want to liberate my soul right now. I want my body to be the focus of my training, my mastery, and my research. My body will be the laboratory, the place of learning, and the place of experimentation. Instead of emphasizing reading, thinking, and writing, I will be moving. Most of my workday will be filled with movement and physical training. That is my professional life right now. I want the athletic lifestyle to be part of my full-time professional right now.

Soul of a Warrior
I made this website, to help me transition into a different state of mind, in preparation for something I am creating. This site is focused on “the soul of an athlete.” Most people associate the athlete with a warrior, in terms of the mental determination, training, and stamina needed, as well as the discipline and physical training required to be in top physical form and performance. But what I have experienced is, a great athlete does not guarantee a great warrior. A warrior has the mental strength and power to withstand not just the training, but the challenges, the obstacles, the pain, the confrontation, the sabotage, the torture, and the war-like nature of humanity. People are not kind, especially when in competition, so “the soul of a warrior” does always accompany “the soul of an athlete,” it has to be awakened. Both have to be awakened.
So for me, this site is highlighting “the soul of the athlete” and also “the soul of a warrior,” at the same time.
